What ages do you teach?

Students who fit that description are welcome from around age 6, and occasionally younger. Every new student begins with a conversation so Theresa can assess fit before the first lesson.

What if my child is younger than 6?

Theresa is open to younger students who demonstrate genuine readiness — the ability to focus for a full session, follow instruction, and engage independently. If you believe your child is ready, reach out through the Apply page and describe what you're seeing. Every placement begins with a conversation.

Question 3

Do you accept beginners?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Beginners are welcome at any age, provided they are genuinely motivated and ready to commit to regular practice. The first semester is designed to build strong foundational habits — the earlier those habits form, the further a student can go.

Do you teach adults?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Theresa welcomes adult learners — whether you're returning to the piano after years away, picking it up for the first time, or building the skills to play at church or for your family. Adult lessons follow the same tracks and are taught with the same care and rigor every Fallbrooke student receives, paced for your life and your goals.

Can students prepare for RCM examinations?

Yes — RCM examination preparation is one of the studio's two core tracks. Theresa holds the ARCT diploma herself and has prepared students through every level of the RCM framework, from foundational grades through advanced repertoire. Students on this track receive structured, cumulative preparation with clear goals and measurable milestones at every stage. See the Lessons page for the full RCM track description.

Do you teach students to play by ear?

Yes — the Contemporary & Chord Studies track is one of the studio's two core programs, taught as a structured skill with the same rigor as classical training. Students learn to hear a chord progression and play it, work from chord charts, and develop real musical fluency without depending on sheet music. Theresa developed this approach with her own children and teaches it deliberately, not as an add-on. It is available as a standalone track or alongside RCM preparation. How do I enroll?

Start by submitting an inquiry through the Apply page. Theresa will follow up to arrange a brief conversation with your family before confirming enrollment. Spots are limited and filled in order of confirmed enrollment.

How much do lessons cost?

All-inclusive studio tuition is structured into flat, predictable monthly payments. Complete fee schedules and inaugural family incentive details for the 2026–2027 season are shared directly with prospective families during the application review.

Question 9

What happens if we miss a lesson?

Accepted Answer

Your reserved time slot is held regardless of attendance and make-ups are offered at Theresa's discretion only.

Are lessons recorded?

Accepted Answer

Intermediate (45-minute) and Advanced (60-minute) sessions may include in-studio recording playback at Theresa's discretion — used as a teaching tool to sharpen feedback and support progress. Recordings are not used in Beginner sessions. All recordings remain private to the studio and are not shared. Recital performances may be recorded and shared by families.
